Short Message Service (SMS) is the text communication service component of phone, web or mobile communication systems, using some protocols that allow the exchange of short text messages between fixed landlines or some portable devices. SMS service is the most widely used data application in the world, with 2.4 billion active users, or 74% of all mobile phone subscribers.The term SMS is used as a synonym for all types of short text messaging as well as the user activity itself in many parts of the world.
This is service having its own merits and demerits using SMS service the information is on your fingers.You can share any information to any part of the world instantaneously.Govt should utilize this facility in its all departments and public must have rights to do it a such system can be made that our all complaints must sent through text message to relevant department and this is very easy,economic and quick.All inquires can be get using this system we are able to get information about ant query from concerning department.But it also has its demerits there is not any check and balance.Most of user are using it as a fun and source of time passing.They do not know the worth of it.They are spreading false information about any personality,making joke of our national celebrities.Our students are wasting their time and money in it.
Our Govt has to be serious about it and place a check and balance on it.They must have to introduce some law about so that people don't make drama and use it in positive way.
