Failure and Success.

This is my special post for my class fellows of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, and also onward  victim candidates by the hypocrisy of authorities during job’s exams.

First of all hats off for the successful students of my batch I know a few ladies and gentleman who are really fit in their professional life, and also hats off for a leading lady of my batch who recently completed MS degree from NUST as well Gold Medalist from University of Gujrat and  I really feel sorry for all of those who failed to make it. There may be very personal reasons. For this empathy that I harbor for those who couldn’t get a graceful opportunity, my cousin, and a close friend met the same fate.

Now, after all  I felt sorry for two reason. First, of course, failure is a heart rendering experience, and for me anyone's failure is a sorry sight. Second, seeing the fragility of human rationality is painful. I mean, hearing many of my friends here grousing about some conspiracy hatched by external factors(Politics and reference culture). Denial and rationalization are the most oft used defense mechanisms by us, the superior mortals. Before taking this , one should know that Luck does play a role. There is something we call fate. The degree and CGPA  somehow decides your fate. Being a candidate in job’s exam and the availability of very few slots the result much more dependent on luck. Because at the end  marks decide your allocation

Now, why the pass percentage so low? Now, I'm not trying to tell you guys that I'm a sage, but after my younger brother got through all his papersin FSc, I gave him some money and told him to go and enjoy himself with his friends. After a week when he came back, I told him to start preparing For 2014. You know why? Cuz I didn't see him fit. He didn't have the command. A friend of his, an Engineer by profession, was predicted to pass the exam, and luckily he did. Why luckily? Because he was well prepared and luck didn't turn against him. Because there are many who are deserving candidates, but it really seems that their luck had turned AGAINST them. But there are many many and many such guys who are not well prepared. A very close friend of mine, who passed BA exam in 4 attempts is also an aspirant. And the Girl I mentioned before( who passed) has been a topper throughout degree. So, a low pass percentage should not be such an enigmatic issue. In 2007, only 147( not exact figure) candidates enrolled in BS-CSIT program. That was musharraf's era; lots of business was brought to country eg the telecom sector; country was brimming with software houses offering hefty salaries. Gone are the days. No jobs for qualified engineers, the filthy pall of unemployment and despondency cast over .the country, youth has no where to go. Those who worked for three or four years got sacked ,or are in a position where they don't see any growth. So, within 6 years the figure has soared from 147to 1100(In all campuses). All that I said was not meant to disparage your efforts or your talent. Shit happens, but this is life and let's face it. But there is one thing that makes me sick seeing everyone here in this country paranoid. I really feel bad when I see the youth being grasped by such despondency. Cheer up and lets go for another try. There are a legion of example who passed degree with low percentage and after that only showing their interest towards practical life the won the game so I believe only persistence can beat talent. So be persistent, get rid of all rot thoughts, have faith in the One who is omnipotent, give your best and  leave the rest to Allah.

A CON MAN “SOLD” THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE TWICE A WEEK TO TOURISTS

George Parker is one of the most notorious con men in American history. He became infamous for repeatedly selling New York’s public landmarks to unsuspecting tourists. His personal favorite was the Brooklyn Bridge, but he also routinely sold Madison Square Garden, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Statue of Liberty. In fact, he was so convincing that tourists would often attempt to collect money after they made a “purchase” and had to be removed by the police!
He would sometimes pose as the original owner’s grandson or set up a fake office and seem legitimate. He was so incredible at forging documents that even educated travelers thought they were real. Parker was eventually caught and sentenced to life in prison, where he was extremely popular among the guards and criminals who loved to hear his outlandish tales!
